Where Form Meets Function™

Best To Be King ("Cash")

2001 chestnut JC TB
Menifee – Good to be Queen, by Rahy

Don't let this adorable face distract you from the rest of the package! Cash is very correct, and has a great shoulder and hind end. Standing just over 15.2h, his babies should be compact athletes, and run early. He's a very elegant, classic TB sprinter.

Cash nearly broke the Churchill Downs 5f record in his first start as a 2yo. He won by an easy 8 ½ lengths, posting a time of :57.31. His race record and pedigree all show the early speed that is so successful on the PA tracks.

Cash is by Menifee. A multiple G1 winner of $1,732,000, Menifee ran second in the 1999 Kentucky Derby (G1) and Preakness Stakes (G1). Menifee is out of Kentucky Broodmare of the Year Anne Campbell, and by the Storm Cat son Harlan.

Cash's dam, the unraced Good To Be Queen, has produced a perfect record of four winners from four foals to race. The second dam, Late From Lunch, raised the G1 Wood Memorial Stakes winner Irgun, now a sire, and Secret's Halo, successful on the track and the dam of seven winners including Rock And Roll, whose ten race wins included the G2 Pennsylvania Derby and G3 Cryptoclearance Stakes. The female line is rounded out with the 3rd dam, Kankam, Champion 2yo filly in Argentina. There's a lot of speed and early development to be found on the bottom of Cash's pedigree.

Whether you're looking to produce a horse or pony for the hunter ring, or are looking toward a PA winner's circle, this is a pedigree you'll want to look at seriously.
