Where Form Meets Function™

Final Markdown ("Mark")

Palomino Thoughbred Stallion

2002 bay JC Thoroughbred stallion
Dynaformer – Impulse Shopper, by Dr Blum

Final Markdown is the only son of Dynaformer on the PA-registered stallions list. This is your opportunity to breed to a son of one of the most successful racing sires at a fraction of the cost (Dynaformer's stud fee has been raised to $150,000 for 2007).

Dynaformer is a name that needs little introduction. He has made the top 5 sire list in 4 of the last 5 years, including being Leading Sire in 2005. He has sired 10 millionaires, including the 2006 Kentucky Derby winner Barbaro. He is also the sire of McDynamo, 2003 and 2005 Eclipse Champion Steeplechaser, and winner of the Breeder's Cup Steeplechase at 7, 8 and 9. Dynaformer is known as a versatile sire of athletes, with foals that just keep getting better as they get older.

Mark's dam, Impulse Shopper, is from the fabulous New York "Shopper" family. Impulse Shopper is ½ to the incredible NY-bred Shopping for Love, who retired recently with winnings of over $600,000. We love this family and know you will too.

Dynaformer foals by Dr Blum mares have had notable success on the track. This is the breeding pattern of the G1-winning millionaire mare, Critical Eye. Critical Eye was Champion New York-bred 3yo Filly for 2000, and Champion New York-bred Older Female for 2001. This nick has also produced graded stakes winner Blumin Affair and stakes winner Intern.

Final Markdown's siblings have finally started their racing careers. His 2003 full brother, Dubliner, sold as a 2yo for $300,000, and has been on the board in both of his first starts. His 2004 ½ sister, Second Marriage, has won over $45,000 so far this year. Final Markdown's very impressive ½ brother of 2005 brought $180,000 at the 2006 Saratoga Fasig Tipton Yearling Sales. We're excited to see this family getting so much attention!

Mark is a very athletic horse, and an uphill mover. He carries a good amount of bone, and has great feet. Mark's a good size horse and still growing. Dynaformer is 17h, so it's possible Mark's foals will be of above-average size. His first foals arrive in 2007.

Mark is smart, curious and incredibly athletic. He's the type of horse that learns quickly and loves to figure things out. On his first turnout in the indoor arena, he surprised everyone by trying out a few of the jumps (and we're told he cleared them with room to spare!) Besides being brave, he also has a very gentle and willing personality.
